Clear Creek: Copper Fascias and Gutters Complete
Installation of the copper fascias and gutters at Clear Creek Abbey is complete — the final weatherproofing element of the East Wing, matching the patinated copper that has covered the church roof since its completion. In ten or fifteen years, when the new copper has weathered to the same green-gray as the old, the building will read as a single object.
It is a small but telling detail: the willingness to specify a material that looks provisional at installation and reveals its quality only over time.
